Founder
SRI ILLA SOMA SEKHAR GARU
Shri Illa Soma Sekhar Garu is an accomplished engineer, senior corporate leader, and visionary community builder with more than 35 years of diverse and impactful professional experience.
He holds a B.E. (ECE) and M.Tech from JNTU, Hyderabad. Complementing his strong technical foundation, he has pursued an impressive range of academic and professional programs—including MHRM, M.Sc. (Psychology), PGDMM, PGDOM, PGDES, and a Certificate in Project Management—demonstrating his unwavering commitment to continuous learning, multidisciplinary expertise, and leadership development.
He began his career with a small private firm in Hyderabad before joining a prestigious Navaratna PSU in 1990, where he steadily rose through the ranks to the senior management position of Chief General Manager. From the early days of his career, Shri Illa Soma Sekhar Garu has demonstrated a deep commitment to community service. He has supported and guided numerous individuals through personality development sessions, mentoring programs, and career guidance initiatives, consistently empowering people to grow with confidence, purpose, and direction.
This deep-rooted commitment to community upliftment led to the creation of SB Connect, which began with just 10 members on 26-01-2025. Through collective passion, dedication, and purpose, the initiative grew steadily and was formally inaugurated on 12-10-2025, reaching a vibrant membership of 135 individuals by August 2026.
Known for his out-of-the-box thinking and “can-do” approach, he firmly believes that economic empowerment through business development is vital for the SB community to build a meaningful presence in broader spheres such as politics, social leadership, and spirituality. Guided by this conviction, he envisioned bringing SB community business professionals together under a single platform one that promotes mutual growth through collaboration, networking, knowledge sharing, and shared opportunities. With his vision and leadership, SB Connect is evolving into a truly professional business network one that works collaboratively, strategically, and purposefully to achieve its goals, create meaningful connections, and drive collective progress for the entire community.
